There are quite a lot of hex head self tapping screws around the car holding on bumpers, lights etc. Some of mine are looking a bit rusty so I thought I'd find some posh stainless alternatives to keep things tidy. My best guess is M5 x 15mm but I can't find an effing ruler! Anyone a bit less neanderthal than me have this knowledge?

Call the midlife!

The 10mm head ones are M6, I think I usually get 25mm long ones
60% of the time it works everytime...

Interesting idea.

What about the ones holding the bins behind the seats? Also M6?

Thanks, I've found some 19mm M6 alloy ones and ordered a couple of bags. Should keep things looking pretty and I can imagine it to be a performance modification!

How much weight do you reckon you'll save?

About the same as emptying my pocket of change before a drive!!

Maybe I'll get me some lighter shoes to drive in. Doctor Martens are too heavy.

Sorry. I diversed.

'Aluminium' screws arrived feeling distinctly heavy and looking suspiciously like steel! Stainless alternatives in a variety of M5 and M6 sizes now ordered.
