I've read that some wobble of the idler pulley is ok but It seems to be causing the belt to move quite a bit. I've got a replacement pulley and belt coming but I also can't find a decent guide on replacing these and the torque settings for the bolts.

Any thoughts on the linked video ?

You will find advice on changing the belt in the 'How To' section.

Just 'good and tight' will do on the long bolt and nut that holds the pulley.

Looking at the video - not a moment too soon!

Thanks for the reply. Yes the idler pulley has a bit of play when wiggled by hand and causes quite a lot of movement in the belt. The belt itself looks good but as I have one coming, I'll change that too.

This is how much I can wiggle it by hand.

Thanks for the helpful videos, @LupinYonder - I have the same issue on a brand new pulley so this helps to confirm my suspicions!

Don't worry too much - I did 300 motorway miles then 50 miles of B road blasting on one worse than that. It was the belt in the end, you do get the odd one not quite manufactured right.
