Dipped beam pattern

Hello, first time really driving the new car in the dark, and I'm getting a weird, "torch beam" kind of projection up high to the right (driver side)

I'm hoping it's just the bulb loose or misaligned, but anyone seen similar?

That does look rather strange. Before seeing the photo I was going to suggest it might be the bulbs not clipped in right (notoriously difficult on a FL). I wonder though, if there's something reflecting light inside your reflector that shouldn't be there. Some old glass from a bust bulb or something.

It's not a lhd unit, the beam goes well to the left and sits at a good height, it's just this weird bit

I'll get some new bulbs on the safe side anyway, will take a look when I get a chance.
