Handbrake Adjustment

This topic crops up regularly.  I noticed that we don't have basic adjustment instructions in the 'How To' section.

I've written one.  Please feel free to add anything that might assist. Keep it simples!!

Afternoon, I was going to add something to it but it seems to be a locked topic?
I've seen various versions by different authors but the one thing across them all is not explaining what to do after the 20 pumps.
Keep foot on pedal with engine running?
Take foot off pedal?
Foot on/engine off?
Might be an idea to step by step this part after the 20 pumps?

After hand brake adjustment check the levers on the back of the calipers are resting on their stops, if its not against the stop its not right!
