Hi all.
I am new to the forum, bought a blue mk3 last weekend   s:D :D s:D   (already have a Mk1)   s:D :D s:D
The car came fitted with D2 coilovers (previous owner used it as track car)....
Does anyone has some feedback about these coilovers or know what spring rates they come with ?

Cheers

Hi and welcome. Somebody will be along very shortly to answer your question I'm sure. Did you buy the car from anyone on here?

Hi, you may have my old car. If so, the d2 spring rates were 4.5 front 6.7 rear.

Hi Matt, it seems like I have your old car  s:P :P s:P

That they are 9 and 11? Is that KG? Or you later on found out the 4.5 / 6.7?

I have a mr2 mk1 on 4 / 6 BC coilovers and it is a lot more comfortable.....

I emailed d2 directly and they confirmed the actual spring rates based on the numbers on the springs.

It was fully poly bushed as well.

My mk1 is fully poly bushed too....
Strange it is that hard, might try change the springs at some point.... Thanks for your help  s:) :) s:)

Good idea. Changing the damping settings did little to improve it. It's fundamentally too stiffly sprung for a road car imo.

Each to their own though.
