R888 arent really a road tyre. Is track your main priority?
I run AD08R this will be my first winter on them.
They were great through the summer.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Tomaky and Chris GB both run triple 8 but i wouldnt be comfortable incase it peed down.
Great track tyre to be sure.

AD08R are tempting me..
Good price, decent in the wet  and getting very good feedback for dry performance

Great tyre.
I live in the south east and feel confident they will serve all year round.
If i lived further north i think i would swap them out for some winter rubber.

+1 for ADO8R. Unbelievable in the dry, good in the damp, bit dodgy when there are puddles as they like aquaplaning.
2zz by Rogue. Se7en cams. BMC CDA. Competion clutches lightened flywheel, Megillian Racing Exhaust. TRD sportivo suspension and ARB\'s. TRD braces. TRD quick shift. TRD dash kit, Matts brace. Getting there but not sure when it will stop!

AD08R
I find them truly brilliant in the dry and merely excellent in the wet.
Have found them better in the wet than some summer tyres in the dry.
Will not consider anything else for mine.

Can back up AD08R'S.  Sub zero drive home at the weekend and they were fine. They're remarkable tyres for these cars. I'm still not going to 'trust' them in very wet/cold/slushy conditions until I've given them a fair hearing. I'm expecting them to be substantially worse than a proper winter tyre because if they're not, there's actually dark magic going on with them.

Anyway, for fast Road and track use, as a '3 season tyre's, there's nothing to touch them IMO.

sounds good then,
i was thinking AD08R for summer and rainsport for winter, but perhaps the AD08R are ok for year round use?

They're "ok".
I didn't go out this morning until 10ish due to the ice on the road and -1 to 1 degree temperatures.

At 10ish the ice was off the ground and  temperatures were up to 3 so I ventured out carefully and was absolutely fine.
Mind, "just passed my test" kind of driving only  s:) :) s:)

You do live in the far north.
I would have winter rubber if i lived your way.

Yeah I should do. But I have the luxury of being able to work from home or work flexibly. So that's how I manage it. Just avoid the weather full stop  s:) :) s:)
We've got then 4wd Jag if we need to go out in iffy weather.

Nothing.
Very average tyre at a reasonable price.
I had  OE spec Yokohama when i bought the car positive improvement on grip when i moved to T1R.
Lots of people hate the soft sidewall but it does help ride comfort.
AD08R different league. Proper performance tyre. Great feedback. Good strong sidewall. Doesnt like standing water by all accounts but grips like a limpett.

Why are you going 215 instead of 225 out of curiosity?
215 is stock, but I quite favour 225.
Amazing tyre either way. Great choice.

Just bought two new fronts myself. Previous pair has lasted over 20k

Couldn't get 225/40 so it was 225/45 or 215/45.
The reviews of the 225/45 are not so positive, and the rolling radius will be correct with the 215s

Oh OK. That's odd. I'm surprised Demon Tweeks don't have the 225/40.
