Ah yes, the more expensive ones were dimpled and grooved! Didn't spot that!

I have used standard EBC brake discs and yellowstuff pads for a number of years and been really impressed with them.. although haven't used the car on track.

I had new Toyota discs and pads on the back of mine in the spring, pads seem fine, but the disks were looking really rusty after a matter of weeks. Not impressed.

I need to do the fronts now, and bought some of the Pagid disks when ECP had a 30% offer, but not decided what pads yet, although I'm swaying towards Carbotech XP8s. Does anyone have experience of these pads on a Roadster?

I believe them to be a top track pad not so sure about their on road manners.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Bumping this, as I really need to get the pads sorted. Any feedback on Carbotech pads and/or a good place to get them from?

Road or track use? How many HP?

Road and track, car otherwise standard.

From what I have been told, the Carbotech pads are really good. But for stock ish power, I would think Toyota OEM or Yellowstuff would be fine. Carbotech have to be installed with new or skimmed discs for them to condition the disk surface IIRC.

I've got a new set of Pagid discs ready to go on.

I've seen a lot of good things about Carbotech, but can't find much from anyone who actually runs them, everyone seems to be using Yellowstuff, so will likely do the same.

I run Yellowstuff at the moment, I'm sure they will be well up to the job on stock power. Carbotec do provide very nice pedal feel and will last for more track days. Personally, I'd want to match the front and rear pads to keep balance.
