Looking for some advice from any of you with experience from lowering your car.
I have ordered a set of coilovers and wondered what ride height / road clearance you have on your car.
My PLF is on 15" standard wheels and currently my car is 120mm from the ground. Wheel arches are 615mm to 626mm from the ground (on a slight slope at time of measuring and no one in it).
I will be lowering the car but I am concerned about scrapping the underside on speed bumps or multi storey car park up & down ramps?.
So what ground clearance do you have and where / when do you scrape the underside of your car.
I am thinking about lowering it 20mm but I would like to lower it 30mm to 35mm.

Which coilovers have you gone for?
My meister R out of the box gave roughly the same ride height as i had on my TTE springs 30mm lower than stock.
I found because the springs were stiffer i suffer less from scraping on speed bumps when taken at sensible speeds.
Careful if raising from factory height you can loose suspension travel. I think.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I am for giving the Yellowspeed coilovers a go. How much ground clearance do you have?

Not sure tbh. Not measured since fitted they tend to settle and i had it corner waited so will have changed.
I would imagine there would be a post about it somewhere.
I can remeber asking people with different setups how high their cars were sitting.
I can also get the tape measure out tomorrow.

It would good to know, so I can compare. I did see a post on YouTube by shnazzle driving out a multi storey car park and his front scrapped slightly. I know all car parks and speed pumps will be different and I'd like to drop it 30mm without regretting it.

Car parks are a nightmare. I don't even think I'm riding that low...
I'm nowhere near the arches.
Mind the thing that causes the trouble is the wind dam strip under the front bumper.
That's what catches all the time. Not the actual bumper itself.

I think I dropped the car by about 30mm tops
...neutiquam erro.

If you don't mind Shnazzle, see if you can get some clearance measurements off your car and herecomesthewife car.   s:bowdown:  s:bowdown:
I think 30mm would be my maximum.

I'm on stock sizes. Also, Helen's rear wheels are a bit oversized, so bad indication  s:) :) s:)

See, mine looks near stock

I like both of your cars. Yours looks more everyday practical and Helens looks more track orientated. Best of both Worlds.
