Has this brace past it or does it it just need a good dusting off and re painting?

No worse than others i have seen tbh.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I bought a set in similar condition. DEOX C soak for a few days, angle grinder with wire brush attachments, zinc prime & then paint. Pretty sturdy bits of steel are these, so the rust is relatively superficial  s;) ;) s;)

Ok thanks. Is that one I posted an original brace? How much do these go for in this condition?

Looks like normal set of face lift underbrace. Which means they're probably worth not a lot as most people will just refurb they're own and not many will be so rusted that they aren't worth refurbing.

People with pre-facelift cars would buy them I guess. I think I sold mine for about £40 (replaced it with an alu Che one)

Would rather put the £40 towards Matts underbrace or a similar aftermarket one.

So it's not the same as a Matts Underbrace?

No. The one you have pictured connects the steering rack support to the main chassis rails under the car. Matt's brace connects the main chassis rails to each other. Both are important and make a difference. The one you have pictures was important enough for Toyota to fit as standard to post-facelift cars. Personally, I'd want both.

If you have pfl car this is well worth it but as above this is not a matt or tte mid brace.
The more bracing the better imho.
Mine is an 06 so has all the toyota upgrades plus i have front and rear trd aswell as matts.
