Looking to get a TTE exhaust at some point for my new to me MR2.

How easy are they to get hold of? How much do they typically sell for used?

Do Toyota still sell them new? If so, how much?

Thanks

Not made anymore and they come up very rarely. But they do come up. And oddly when one comes up, anothrr soon follows. Odd.

Remus makes an identical one (TTE was made by Remus) but it has round tips instead of slightly oval tte. Expensive though. 450 ish?

Sweet mama!! I was only off a little.
That's ridiculous. I love the TTE but no way in hell is it worth that

Wow that's expensive. Best to look out for a used one then.

What's the rough going rate second hand in decent condition?

230 ish. If you see one for 200, bite their hand off unless it looks totally rusted.

Try Fox exhaust in your search engine. They look good for the money. Allegedly they are built in Germany. Not quite as loud either.

You can still get them from Toyota. I called my local dealer last month and was quoted £640.  s:( :( s:(  hopefully some one can find them cheaper them this price.

You can buy them online.  m http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/71 ... -1505.html m

As GT4-Play do the corba exhaust for £420, I think I will be going this route when the time comes and wear some ear defender  s:lol:  s:lol:  .

Maybe one our forum suppliers might be interested in arranging a group buy?.  s:wink:  s:wink:

I like original/oem stuff, even if it is made for Toyota not by them. Also, seen some videos and it appears to be just the right sounds I'm looking for  s:) :) s:)

It makes the best sound no doubt.
Cobra too loud.
Janspeed/ che look great but too loud.

It does sound pretty darn good. Only goes a bit droney when it's struggling to go up a hill  s:) :) s:)  It's absolutely amazing 4000rpm and over.
The only one I know of that sounds better (in my humble opinion) is the Team Moon exhaust from the other side of the pond.

You know I've never even looked... The power of the TTE called, regardless of how much I liked the Team Moon haha

I was looking for a Team Moon recently but couldn't find the website that sells them. They certainly weren't as much as £600 delivered to the UK from what I remember. But feel free to prove me wrong. A lot lighter than standard apparently too.

They do sound great and definitely on my shopping list but at £600+ I think it's a bit steep, I live very close to Janspeed so may well take a trip down to see what they can make, and at what price as an alternative.

Janspeed made a system for the 2. Its not in production anymore though. There was talk of a minimum 15 peeps for a batch at one point.
