Fitting a Frenzy Bar.....problems!

Postby Ian3360 » Wed Aug 03, 2016 9:11 am

I'm trying to fit my Frenzy bar and it uses the upper seat belt mounting bolt, however, I can't get the bolt to line up properly through the bar mounting due to the upper seat belt loop. If I remove the stock washers, I can get it to screw in but the loop is then out of the plastic sleeve and won't seat/ screw down properly.

Does anyone have the fitting instructions for a frenzy bar? Do I need to grind/cut anything away to fit it? Do I need to lose any of the seat belt mounting washers and if so, which ones?

Problems, problems! :( :scared:

Does anyone on the forum have the instructions for fitting the frenzy bar?

I have bought a frenzy second hand with no instructions and I require to cut my plastic to fit the bar.
I believe the instructions came with a template for cutting the plastics.

Really sorry, just noticed this!
I did store it on the site, but at the time wasn't sure what the easiest way was to make it accessible.

I'll dig up the link now and post it

Even odderer more is that once my reply loaded up I could see the yellow templates in my quoted reply but clicking on the thread brings up the error page.

I've not tried Safari but ditto on the Tapatalk, although I can see the templates plain as day in the new topics list.

OK, here's a technical tip. Never save anything on the interwebs with spaces. Many browsers can't deal with them (the full name is frenzy20%bar20%template.jpg)
Also, with phpBB, many phones struggle if you don't use the [URL] tag.

But rather than bitch and moan, I'll fix it for y'all

If you can deal with spaces, then you'll be able to click on this
http://www.mr2roc.org/Repository/frenzy%20bar%20template.jpg
If your browser doesn't like 20% tags, then here it is as an attachment
frenzybartemplate.jpg
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Hmm... I purposely put in the %20s to cover for the spaces as well..
I didn't at first but then Tapatalk didn't create the link properly. So I quickly edited the %20 in.

Maybe it was clicked before I edited it!

It could be the URL tag though.
I use another forum and people on phones whine and moan if you don't use it, because apparently it doesn't always work properly.

I protest Sir! I was neither whining nor moaning, just giving constructive feedback!
To be honest I was a little disappointed, I thought it was a treasure map for next weekend .

I think that's your problem!
The forum didn't know you did that and has url encoded what you submitted. It assumed that you meant '%20' was actually part of the filename and encoded it to %2520.
Fwiw:
1) the space character is used as a word separator in the http protocol, so spaces (and other special /control) characters that are part of a word have to be specially represented so as to not be treated as a word separator. This is done by encoding it to %NN. Which is the '%' character followed by the base 16 ascii code for the character.
20 is the ascii standard base 16 representation of the space character.
25 is the ascii standard base 16 for the '%' character.
Hence, if you put in '%20', the url encoder will convert that to '%2520'.

Ah you're probably right. It encoded my encoding :)

Oh, trust me, it's not this forum. There's another (occasional) user from here who uses the same forum and would concur (it's not car related)!
