So took my 2ZZ roadster out last night for pre-track day checks and got a red battery light which was flickering at first and then went to a solid light. Shortly after the EML light came on with a P1690 fault code.

I think the alternator is fried but not sure why I've got the OCV fault at the same time. Could the irregular voltage from the fried alternator cause this? Also just before the car died I got an ABS light come up as well. Hoping its all linked to the alternator as I have a track day Tuesday.

Beejeezus what a timing for the car to throw an error code party.
Hope it is something relatively simple you can sort quickly.
Fingers crossed the additional codes are caused by too low voltage thresholds.

Always seems the way. £260 for the track day as well :-(

Car now back to full health after replacing the alternator. Seems a fried alternator can cause all sorts of random electric gremlins.
