One of numerous jobs I've been doing is fitting two gauges with the wiring at the back of the instrument pod.
After finishing, the rev counter isn't working, so initial thought was the the plug isn't properly in, but a short drive with lights on showed the clock dials lights working ok. (though I suppose the lights may not necessarily be through the central plug.  That's the obvious thing I'll check 1st, but if not that, any suggestions?

Too much of a coincidence not to be the connection??

I'd disconnect, spray it all with contact cleaner, re-connect and check.

Sussed it. Instruments were off to allow wiring of oil gauges. The 12v was taken off the wiring to the speedo, the smallest of the 3 plugs because of ease of accessibility. The gauges are drawing power & dropping the voltage right down.  So the chances are I've got them wired incorrectly.......fek....
