Just a quick question that may sound odd. Can everyone else hear their fuel pump prime when turning the ignition key to on? (Second position not accessory position).

In every other car I've had theres been a noticable sound, whirring etc, but there is  absolutely nothing audible in the '2'.

I'm not having issues but curious given how close it is to the back of your head. Perhaps an aftermarket quiet replacement??

Not that I can remember.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Think I've raised this before and sorry to say this, but Foxy makes a slight whirl noise, think someone mentioned it was a fuel pump or was it the power steering pump.  Oh dear, I don't remember but no issue has been identified! :)

@Chilli Girl, from what I've read on here that is likely to be the power steering pump you can hear, I also understand that it is nothing to be concerned about.

Chilli Girl

Thanks for confirming that Tony. :)

Thanks everyone. I got hold of the wiring diagram for the pump control system, it only gets power when the engine is cranked, so no priming!
