I seem to remember that some of the lowering springs available are progressive rate, starting out at about the standard spring rate and going stiffer in bump. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and if so, which ones they are?

Thanks

Don't know how the Spring rate compares with stock, but I knew the Tein S techs were popular, so when a new set was offered up on here I snapped them up.

And to answer your question - they are progressive.

Don't know how the Spring rate compares with stock, (edit - but now I think about it must be similar as ride comfort is - if anything - better, though the dampers were also changed ) I knew the Tein S techs were popular, so when a new set was offered up on here I snapped them up.

Eibach probably

Eibach/TTE are linear. Just chopped stock springs

Helen's got TTEs, I've seen them obviously :) They're linear. 100% certain.
Teins you can see how the coils get tighter from one end to the other.

Our Eibachs on the Leon were progressive.

Could be that if you get actual Eibach springs for the MR2, not TTE, that they are progressive

TTE are linear and I would be surprised if eibach where any different.

Edit
Eibach pro are referred to as progressive on the japspeed website.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

When I tried lowering springs I went for the Teins, mainly because they drop the front more than the rear. I had eibachs on a paseo years ago and loved them, I have a set of eibach pro kit springs waiting to go on my daily when the insurance is up.

They are progressive and look like this;

The top spring barely looks progressive but maybe thats all thats needed?

I would trust eibach to know what they are doing.

Can you still get TTEs? They are presumably made by someone else but who?

Please bear in mind, I know nothing though!

Worth noting that I am running on a set of Teins, ride quality is still very good :)
