Hi

I just bought a second hand kw variant 3 coiloverkit brand new in box.

After searching a bit on the norwegian Toyota forums I found a thread posted by the first owner where he claims:

-This certainly is no bolt on setup.
-I have to grind down the bottom part that goes with the  control arm. (Please excuse my bad translation.)
-I need to bore out the top mounts. The KWs are a couple of mm larger than stock suspension.
-There is no mount to attach the end links to. What to do?

Does anyone else on here have this kit and experienced problems like this?

That sounds highly unlikely... they come with TÜV for mk3 mr2. I don't think it would be possible if customisation is necessary...

Maybe customisation is needed to fit mk2 coilovers to mk3? Purely guessing though...

They make these for the roadster zzw30 and for the previous mr2 sw20.
Perhaps they arent for our model mr2 but the previous model.
If they are tuv certified they cant need modifying.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Thanks for your replies. I,ll have a look when I remove my stock suspension some time in the near future.

Looks like the middle set are for the rear and have the arb link points on them, the others look like they got the brake hose points. The only thing I can't see on them are the top mounts.
