Hey guys - For those of you who have lowering springs (I'm thinking the Tein Springs 30mm drop), how does the car handle speed bumps etc.? Any issues with scraping the bottom? I'm weighing up getting new normal springs rather than lowering springs if it's going to be more hassle in the long run.

Looking forward to hearing your opinions!

You'll be fine, they don't lower the car enough to give you any issues.

generally agree. The full road width types = fine.
The trapezoidal concrete ones randomly placed in the carriage way require a bit more care.
They are not all created equally.
Where poss I find going between is best but all depends on the layout.
Would not go back to full fat springs.

Jason has it spot on.
As usual.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I have teins on. No difference to stock in terms of humps. Handles awesome and sits lower. As long as you take humps centrally and have a standard exhaust and bumpers you will have zero issues.

I have TTE springs on my 2, and tried straddling the centre of the carriageway square type hump twice now, both times have resulted in scraping the undercarriage.  Now I have resorted to slowing right down, and driving over them with either side of the car.  No scraping but annoys the hell out of the car behind.

just for clarity
I mean positioning the 2 between the humps not positioning the hump between the wheels.
If I cannot do that due to on coming traffic I go for nearside wheels near to the kerb as I dare and run the off sides over the hump.
