Hey people,

Im looking to see of there are any members around me with bc coilovers fitted.

Im thinking of changing to these but really worried about the harshness of the ride.

Hoping maybe someone could take me for a spin?

Thanks
Steven

Also consider Meister R who are an affiliate.
I believe one or two Scottish members have them fitted.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

640 for BCs vs 615 for the MeisterRs. Although I believe the last slot for that 615 group buy has been taken. So actually the BCs are cheaper at 640 hehe

Put it this way, we spent about 4hrs hurtling down the Northumberland countryside the other nice and Helen didn't once complain about discomfort, and neither did I

Patrick i really should be.
If i ever need another set I'm demanding a big discount.
Test drives in my 2 have sold more than one set thats for sure.

They're harder than stock or lowered springs but the damping is soooo much better.
Handling is much improved, good on motorways and excellent for those B road adventures maybe not the best for popping to # insert supermarket of choice here # but then thats not what mid engine rear wheel drive cars are about is it?

If buying BC go for 4/6.
Meister only come in 5/7.
Not done a back to back test but think BCs 5/7 are harder than Meister because nobody's said the ride in mine is awful but I've heard it said a few times about BC.
Cue Nic to shoot me down in flames.

Definitely 4/6 rate for BC. I have to say it's absolutely grand as a daily drive. I've done a few shops in it as well, eggs and everything  s:) :) s:)  No breakages

Bear in mind simple false statistics. A LOT more people have BCs than MeisterRs, so you're going to find more complaints about the BCs.

The MeisterRs do get rated well though. The reason I went for BCs was availability if replacement parts (if ever needed) and being well-established. Other than that, I'm sure MeisterRs are pretty much the same

Prices are so close i would try before you buy.
I bought mine blind because i knew somone would have them off me if they weren't to my taste.

If you have two people around with BC and MeisterR it's definitely the best thing to try them both (at the same settings, wheel sizes, tyres etc).
I run Yokohama AD08s which have very stiff sidewalls, so they're going to feel harsher regardless of suspension  s:) :) s:)
