So this is my MR-S ...

All started, when I was thinking a new toy for myself.  I have had several good and pretty fast petrol cars in the past..

This time I wanted something different. I have seen, that 1 of these almost saw the light, but my opinion of using Toyotas own engine ...  s:roll:  s:roll:

or maybe we just dont have enough skills here, but I´m gonna use ( already mounted to the car   s:wink:  s:wink:   )

Fiat stilo 1.9 jtd 8v 115hp standard with 5-speed gearbox.

This engine was chosen, because ;

-The standard engine can easily take over 250hp
-the standard fuel injectors can go up to +300hp
- parts are cheap
-never done before

I have standard engine parts available from broken 1.8 if someone needs ??

Car itself has also

-Widebody kit from Germany
-hardtop

-Some lightweight parts also, seats are 3,6kg / each
and car is now around 70kg lighter, than standard..

-Vinyl wrapping going on, with prushed black steel color.

My goal is to get the car running next summer, with standard turbocharger, and get it leagal to the road.
I have one twinturbo packace almost ready, so maybe I´m using that ...

I dont know how to put pictures here, but hopefully someone shows..  s:D :D s:D

Hello. been wery busy.

just weighted my car, and it is under 800kg at the moment. well a lot of parts missing, but could easily see something like 850kg, when its ready.

Diesel doesnt sound that bad, if you have straight pipe, and good intake... but of course its not as good as gasoline for sounds.

In gear performance is one thing, that I´m waiting... should be quite fast car...

I have a free day tomorrow, so I think I will take some photos of the engine bay ( dirty, sorry already ) and modifications, so you can see more.

Oh, and I´m gonna use only 15" wheels ( 4,6kg alloy steel wheels from citroen ) and some spacers on the back. A big difference, when taking off the weight from there.

but anyway, thanks that you didnt think this as a stubid and bad project. And sorry for my English...

How come you didn't go for the 16v 150hp engine.  Are you jumping the dmf and running an dmf?  My old stilo jtd was pushing 165hp std engine etc but remapped. Very nippy and ultra reliable too. Nice project.

Hello. I have been really busy.

I didnt use 16v engine, because 8v is so much cheaper, and those 8v injectors are good for big numbers .
I only need some parts from 16v engine   s:mrgreen:  s:mrgreen:

I had huge problem, because all was put together, but engine didnt start.
it didnt even crank.

Then I found, that earth cable between engine and battery was bad.
and I got it crank, but still not running.   s:cry:  s:cry:

It took almost 2 weeks ( well only like couple hours ) when I found 1 cable connector, what was not connected
because I had put that like " not needed" cable.   s:lol:  s:lol:   Well that was wery important one..

Engine runs know, and I can continue   s8) 8) s8)

I will post some pictures more..
